Unhide your SMS content
The Mobile Arts USSD-based Application Suite includes a USSD Portal, which allows the Operator to provide an interactive USSD menu with access to online and off-line legacy content.
The problem with SMS content is that it requires the user to know both what phone number to send a requesting SMS to and which text to include in the SMS. With the USSD portal all different SMS content services are accessed from one common short code, which is preferably pre-stored on the SIM card address book (example *1234#). Once this short code is dialled a menu system, created by the USSD portal, is shown. From this menu system all SMS content is available. The USSD portal converts the USSD dialog with the consumer into SMS content request compliant with SMS content services. Absolutely no upgrade is needed by any SMS content provider in order to benefit from having their content made available over USSD. The user receives content per SMS.
